I am a huge fan of both Skottie Young and Jake Parker. Their work on Rocket Raccoon is so genuine and definitely worth a read. I like this picture because it showcases some decision making on my end. I should've stuck with the smoother look for all of Rocket, his face looks so different from the rest of him, but I still like the drawing and I learned something. Double bonus! Anywho, I love where this project is headed, and I am working on new pictures all the time now.
The next drawing will be coming soon, and I think it's a good one. I'm trying to get my scanner working so I don't just have to use my iPhone to post. Yet another benefit of drawing on computer paper. All my drawings fit on scanners! I love 9x12 and 11x17 paper but it's difficult not having a large format scanner. Anywho another drawing soon! Here is my first drawing for the CPP! Cat in the Hat is such a great story and I am a huge Dr. Seuss fan. Hello everyone! Welcome to my new the blog: The Computer Paper Project! Allow me to explain what this blog is for, because you are probably wondering what is a computer paper project. Ever since I started drawing when I was a kid, computer paper was always available to me. It was on those sheets that I began my journey of learning how to draw. While that journey is still a work in progress, computer paper is still one of my favorite things to draw on. There is freedom in knowing that computer paper is so cheap, and that a stack of 500 sheets costs just a few dollars. I believe that whatever level artist you are, you can always benefit from the simple act of drawing on computer paper. This blog will showcase the illustrations that I complete on computer paper, and hopefully inspire more people to illustrate with more freedom!
